Village Jagat Khana in Teshil Nalagarh is located in the strikingly eye-catching view on the left bank of River Sirsa. This place speaks volumes of history especially of the times of tenth Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The present province of Himachal Pardesh used to be ruled by 22 rajas known as Bydharas. The total population of this area was very innocent people were recruited by these Rulers in the armies and were put on war duties against the Sikh army of Tenth Guru.
Guru Nanak, The first Sikh Guru came to this world with a mission to fight against tyranny and misdeeds of the Mughals rulers of that time. There was a law of jungle and misdeeds were committed in the society by the upper classes. Guru Nanak, through his travels all over India and abroad taught the golden principle of Sikh religion and spread his precious teaching everywhere in a peaceful manner. Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru was an incarnation of Guru Nanak & High handedness being shown by contemporary rulers. He fought the mughals in a Novel way by enthusing the down trodden with magic of baptism initiatied by ‘Amritpan’. The low caste people were made lions which enabled them to fight any powerful forces.
In order to spread the mission of Guru Nanak and other Sikh Gurus, The Sangat of this area of Himachal Pardesh has formed Gurmat Parchar Sabha. Gurmat Parchar Camps, Nagar Kirtans and recitation of Gurubani in rural area of Himachal Pardesh was organized by this Sabha. Thereafter with the corporation of the Sikh Sangat of the area the main members of the Gurmat Parchar Sabha has formed a Gurmat Parchar Trust Himachal Pradesh (Regd.). The members of the trust worked day and night in order to strengthen this Trust with the aims of promoting the Sikh religion in this area and the surrounding areas of Himachal Pardesh. Bhai Harmander Singh (Mumbai) , Chief Patron of the Trust, Bhai Naseeb Singh, President and other members of the Trust are sparing no pains to fulfil the aims and objectives of this Trust so that children of the residents of this area may get quality education and professional job-oriented Training.
